Knowing that plastic and spoked wheels are a major durability problem for our competitors, our pull-type units have always had metal wheels with a metal center dish and high-speed hubs and bearings.

Our rotating wipers have always had a steel drum with a specialized synthetic carpet screwed on the outside of the steel rotating drum. We often think of this design as a roll-on paintbrush concept.

In designing and using our units, we have told our customers for decades that they can get excellent results at 4-8MPH.  In the turf industry, because of their "almost" precision leveled fields, we have been told by our customers they can run faster. Because of the slow, steady, reverse rotation of our rotating weed wiper, the drip issue is eliminated and there is a very good wiping action on the targeted vegetation that we are killing.

Absolutely. The pull type units are designed to wipe from on the ground up to about two feet. This will totally depend on the drawbar height of the tow vehicle. The height is very easily and quickly adjusted by a manual adjustment of a crank jack on each end of the unit. Our three point mounted units are our most popular units and they will have a height adjustment using the 3 point lift arms.

Whether the gauge wheels are needed totally depends on the lay of the land. On our small to mid-size tractor mount units, they are an option. Gauge wheels are standard equipment on ALL of our flex units. All gauge wheels are adjustable up or down and left or right for the row crop industry.

From the first units we knew that our customers needed to be able to use a lot of different chemicals for their particular situations. You can use ANY chemicals that you need to use. Our units are designed like a roll-on paint brush and you can use any (paint) chemicals.

We often refer to our units as a roll-on paintbrush. Like a roll-on paintbrush, there are no chemicals inside the drum. This a total disaster where all of our competitors fail miserably. On all of our units, directly above our wipers, we use a shielded boom sprayer to instantly and evenly re-wet the steel rotating drum. The driver turns this spray system on and off as needed.

We totally understand why our customers would want a front mount design, i.e..front end loader. We do use our units on a front mount in certain situations. We understand it would be easy to adjust the height and allow better visibility...BUT....our units vs our competitors... if you had a wiper that truly applied enough chemicals to kill the weeds, there's going to be a buildup of excess chemical on the tires and the under belly of the tow unit.  This will leave a perfect kill pattern everywhere you drive.  We know that our competitors cannot run their units as wet as our units or they have a dripping issue.  Our steel rotating wiper allows you to run our units very saturated with chemical, therefore we get a lot of chemical on the plant and with the slow steady rotation of our wipers, we eliminate the drip issues. We apply enough chemical to get the job done in one pass and one application.

We have a shielded boom sprayer. These units are excellent for cleaning up row middles of vineyards, citrus operations, vegetables, etc.. where drift is a major issue.

We manufacture our equipment close to the dead center of the USA.  We ship equipment ALL over the nation on a daily basis and ship units internationally to other countries as needed. We also sell equipment to dealers but most of our sales are directly to the end user. This direct sale approach is ALWAYS the best way to purchase for the customers. We have trucking (logistics) companies based all over the nation that help us deliver our equipment.

This is a moving target. Our row crop customers are generally interested in our 3 pt. mounted units that range in sizes from 15’ up to 50’ units with our 20’ - 30’ units being our most popular. Our hay and pasture customers are using both 3 pt. units and our pull type units with 10’, 12’ and 15’ units being our most popular sizes.

Absolutely. We at GW think that the foam marker systems are a very much needed option that we offer. They are very dependable and do a very simple and accurate job of marking where the driver has traveled.
